Reacting to sensational reviews in The Wall Street Journal and the British media, which claimed that the book exposes Gandhi’s sexual life and racist views, Indian politicians called for a ban on the book. Gandhi’s home state, Gujarat, has already banned it; one more state is considering a ban.
